According to statistics, the first batch of telecommunications universal service pilot projects in Guizhou Province have all completed preliminary testing, covering Southeast Guizhou, Tongren, Southwest Guizhou, etc. There are a total of 3,540 administrative villages in the rural areas of the three cities and prefectures, and the average access rate exceeds 60Mbps.
At the recent Guizhou third batch of telecommunications universal service pilot construction project contract signing ceremony and first batch of project acceptance meeting , the Guizhou Provincial Department of Finance and the Guizhou Provincial Communications Administration signed tripartite contracts for telecommunications universal service projects with the two winning bidders, Guizhou Mobile and Guizhou China Unicom respectively.
Guizhou received 171.7 million yuan in fiscal subsidy funds for the third batch of telecommunications universal service pilot projects, and implemented optical fiber projects in 9 cities and prefectures across the province to connect 3,512 administrative villages.
Up to now, through the province’s information and communication industry’s active application and struggle, our province has received central financial subsidies for universal telecommunications services The fund is 618 million yuan, specially used to subsidize the construction of rural information and communication infrastructure in our province.
