Huawei's original "nine-sector" solution: the capacity is 2.5 times that of three-sectors
Recently, Huawei officially released the "nine-sector" innovative solution, which uses spatial multiplexing technology to improve wireless network capacity and coverage, and has been successfully deployed in the existing networks of many operators such as Myanmar and Thailand. Pilot.
The pilot results show that the nine-sector solution can increase network capacity to 2.5 times that of the original three-sector without increasing site and spectrum resources, effectively ensuring user experience in hot spots in high-traffic urban areas.
With the rapid development of mobile broadband (MBB) and the increase in users, operators face huge challenges in network capacity. Especially in hot spots in high-traffic urban areas, traffic demand is severely suppressed and user experience is difficult to guarantee.
Limited by factors such as difficulty in obtaining new sites and limited spectrum resources, operators are difficult to increase network capacity through traditional methods such as adding sites or adding spectrum to expand carriers.
In response to these challenges, Huawei proposed the "nine-sector" innovative solution to solve the problem of insufficient hotspot capacity in high-traffic urban areas to effectively ensure user experience.
This solution uses spatial multiplexing technology and Huawei's unique algorithm to split a 120-degree sector into three 40-degree sectors in the horizontal direction through a self-developed three-beam high-gain splitting antenna. Sector, that is, three sectors are now used to cover the same area that originally used one sector to improve network capacity. It is 2.2~2.7 times that of the original three sectors, and the coverage is improved by 2~3 dB.
Compared with the traditional nine-sector solution, Huawei's "nine-sector" solution has obvious advantages in network performance, scale deployment, and supporting features.
Among them, by leveraging Huawei's unique advantages in antenna technology, the "nine-sector" solution uses a three-beam splitting antenna to effectively suppress interference from adjacent sectors after splitting.
At the same time, Huawei provides supporting end-to-end professional tools to quickly identify and plan target expansion sites and optimize neighboring cell parameters, effectively ensuring convenient nine-sector deployment and stable network performance.
Peng Honghua, President of Huawei Wireless UMTS Product Line, said: "We have always focused on the challenges and needs of operators in the mobile broadband era. The launch of the nine-sector solution will help more operators maximize the use of existing network spectrum resources and effectively solve capacity problems. problem and build a more competitive high-quality user experience network
”
The nine-sector solution is an important part of Huawei's multi-sector solution.
To date, Huawei's six-sector solution has been deployed in more than 70 networks around the world, and the deployment of the nine-sector solution has gradually begun.
In the future, multi-sector solutions will continue to innovate to help operators increase network capacity and meet the growing number of users and data service needs in the future.
