1. Optical fiber coloring process
The purpose of the coloring process production line is to color optical fibers with bright, smooth, stable and reliable colors so that they can be easily identified during the production and use of optical cables.
The main raw materials used in the coloring process are optical fibers and colored ink. Colored ink colors are divided into 12 types according to industry standards.
The order of chromatograms specified by the radio and television industry standards and the standards of the Ministry of Information Industry is different. The chromatograms of the radio and television standards are arranged as follows: Ben (white), red, yellow, green, gray, black, blue, orange , brown, purple, pink, turquoise; the industry standard chromatographic arrangement of the Ministry of Information Industry is as follows: blue, orange, green, brown, gray, original (white), red, black, yellow, purple, pink, turquoise.
It is allowed to use natural colors instead of white without affecting recognition.
The chromatographic arrangement currently used is in accordance with the radio and television standards. It can also be arranged in accordance with the standard chromatographic arrangement of the Ministry of Information Industry when requested by customers.
When the number of optical fibers per tube is more than 12 cores, different colors can be used in different proportions to differentiate the optical fibers as needed.
The optical fiber should meet the following requirements after coloring:
a. The color of the colored optical fiber does not migrate or fade (the same applies to wiping with MEK or alcohol).
b. The fiber optic cables are arranged neatly and flatly, without any mess or pressure.
c. The optical fiber attenuation index meets the requirements, and the OTDR test curve has no steps.
The equipment used in the optical fiber coloring process is an optical fiber coloring machine. The optical fiber coloring machine consists of fiber pay-off, coloring molds and ink supply systems, and ultraviolet rays. It consists of curing oven, traction, optical fiber take-up and electrical control.
The main principle is that UV curing ink is coated on the surface of the optical fiber through a coloring mold, and then solidified in a UV curing oven and fixed on the surface of the optical fiber to form an optical fiber that is easy to color separate.
The ink used is UV curable ink.
2. Second set of optical fiber technology
The secondary overmolding process of optical fiber is to select appropriate polymer materials, use extrusion molding method, and under reasonable process conditions, put a suitable loose tube on the optical fiber, and at the same time, connect the tube and optical fiber. Between them, a special optical fiber ointment with long-term stable chemical and physical properties, appropriate viscosity, excellent waterproof performance, good long-term protection for optical fibers, and complete compatibility with the casing material is filled.
