Materials and quality of Huizhou optical cables

Materials and quality of Huizhou optical cable

(1) Outer sheath.

Indoor optical cables generally use polyvinyl chloride or flame-retardant polyvinyl chloride, which has a smooth and bright appearance, good flexibility, and is easy to peel off.

The outer sheath of poor quality optical cables has poor smoothness and is easy to stick to the tight sleeve and aramid yarn in the optical cable.

The outer sheath of outdoor optical cables is generally made of high-quality black polyethylene. The cable back is smooth and bright, with no bubbles.

The outer sheath of inferior optical cables is generally produced from recycled materials. Therefore, the outer sheath of the optical cable has many tiny pits, which can easily crack and allow water to enter over time.

(2) Optical fiber.

Regular optical cable companies generally use Class A fiber cores, while some low-priced and inferior optical cables usually use Class C and Class D fiber cores.

These optical fibers come from complex sources and have been out of the factory for a long time. They are often damp and discolored, and multi-mode optical fibers are often mixed with single-mode optical fibers.

If you encounter during construction that: the bandwidth is very narrow, the transmission distance is short, the thickness is uneven, the fiber cannot be connected to the pigtail, the fiber lacks flexibility, and it is easy to break when coiling, etc., it means that the quality of the fiber is not good. .

(3) Reinforced steel wire.

The steel wires of outdoor optical cables are generally phosphated. The steel wires are not easy to rust and have high strength.

Inferior optical cables are generally replaced by thin iron wires. If the steel wires can be bent at will, such steel wires will rust and break over time.
