On August 18, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China issued an announcement on the filing of the final anti-dumping review of optical fiber preforms. The announcement showed that the Ministry of Commerce decided to impose restrictions on imports originating in Japan and the United States starting from August 19, 2017. The anti-dumping measures applicable to optical fiber preforms are subject to an end-of-term review investigation.
The investigation date will begin on August 19, 2017, and will end before August 18, 2018, for a period of one year.
At the same time, based on the recommendations of the Ministry of Commerce, the Tariff Commission of the State Council decided that during the anti-dumping final review investigation, imported optical fiber preforms originating in Japan and the United States will continue to be subject to Ministry of Commerce Announcement No. 25 of 2015. Anti-dumping duties are levied according to the announced tax scope and tax rate.
